Rustic Candelabra

Since I am such a big fan of the rustic look with a little bit of elegance, I was inspired to create a centerpiece by staggering small wooden stumps in an attractive arrangement.

This is a great look for just about anywhere in the house, from an unused fireplace to a mantle.
What You Need
  • I started out with a simple sketch of the plan I had in mind and a log measuring about 3" in width
  • Hemp Cord
  • Beads (I used three square glass beads)
  • Embellishments (I used a red silk flower)
  • Candles
Begin by cutting the log down into several smaller different sized pieces with a table saw (thanks Dad!)
Arrange the wood pieces with the tallest in the center back row.
The smallest pieces should be placed in the front row to bridge the seems.
I chose the two end pieces, the center piece, and one of the front pieces
to add a simple hemp wrap.
The end of the hemp wrap is finished with a square green glass bead.
The center piece is wrapped with hemp and embellished with a red silk flower (hot glue.)
Here is what they look like all together.
The pieces can remain free standing or be attached together.
 Add the lights!
Green accent candles and tea lights.
Separated in three sets of three, the wood pieces can be spread out on a shelf or mantle.
