Mane Highlights for 06-07-2013

The sketches of how men saw themselves were far better than how other men saw them.  This goes to show that confidence goes a long way and in the end it is more important that you have a positive idea about yourself and are not consumed with the judgement of others...Continue

Project of the Week: Creative Crib Bumper
Now that our son rolls freely in both directions, I needed a bumper for his crib so he would stop rolling into the hard sides.

These fun lion heads are effective and entertaining.  The fabric strips around the heads used as the manes are colorful and offer different textures.  Now he has six little buddies to fall asleep with each night!

Gallery Piece of the Week: Cathedral Cove
One of the most beautifully stunning beaches I have ever been blessed to set foot on!  Cathedral Cove is on New Zealand's North Island and the many rich tones of blue make you believe that you have stepped right into Picasso's Blue Period.

Chic of the Week: Daughters
Every time I hear the John Mayer song ‘Daughters’ it really makes me think. Just recently I heard it again and was struck by the first verse in which Mayer explains how he can’t seem to make the relationship he is in work out and realizes that the woman’s previous emotional scars may be what are deterring the relationship rather than anything he is doing wrong...Continue

I leave you with this until next week: Cauliflower Pizza
I have gotten a number of questions on how I make my cauliflower pizza crust so that it doesn't deteriorate and fall apart or burn.  Here is what I do:

Ingredients
·         1 head cauliflower
·         1 clove garlic, minced
·         1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese
·         1 egg
·         1 teaspoon basil
·         1 teaspoon oregano
·         Salt and Pepper
Instructions
1.    Pre-heat oven to 400° F.
2.    Grease pizza stone or line pan with foil.
3.    Remove stems and leaves from cauliflower and add in pieces to a food processor on pulse (similar to rice).
4.    Sauté cauliflower in a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook until most of the moisture is steamed out.
5.    Combine cooked cauliflower and remaining ingredients to form dough.
6.    Spread dough out evenly over foil or stone, about ¼ of an inch thick.
7.    Bake the crust for 30 minutes or until the golden.
8.    Remove the crust from the oven.
9.   Broil the pizza for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
10.  Allow to cool completely and use a pie server as crust will still be somewhat moist but delicious!
