Homemade Baby Wipes

Homemade Baby Wipes
I have tried several different baby wipe recipes but never found one that I really liked.  One of the biggest differences is that I do not use soap in my wipes because I don't like the residue they leave and don't find it necessarily considering that both coconut oil and witch hazel have antibacterial properties.

Here is my recipe for homemade baby wipes with no added chemicals so that you can be sure that they are safe on baby's skin even when using on baby's hands and face.  Also the natural ingredients help to keep baby's skin clean and moisturized to prevent rash.

What You Need

Bounty Select-A-Size Paper Towel Roll
4 Cups Water
3 Tbs Coconut Oil (Organic)
2 Tsp Pure Organic Aloe Vera
1 Tsp Witch Hazel Extract (Organic)
1 Tsp Sweet Almond Natural Skin Care Oil
1/2 Tsp Calendula Herbal Oil (Organic)

Using a bread knife, saw through the paper towel roll to cut it in half.
This batch will fill two containers of wipes.
Heat 4 Cups of Water and Melt the 3 Tbs of Coconut Oil in the water while stirring.
Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients.
Place one of the rolls into the mixture for a few seconds and then switch sides.
Make sure the roll is completely wet as the liquid climbs up the roll.
Do the same with the other half roll.
Squeeze out excess liquid if the roll is too saturated.
Remove the cardboard center and with it comes the first wipe in the roll.

I use the 34.5 oz Maxwell House Coffee tub to keep the wipes because it is compact,
well-sealed, and has a convenient handle!
Cut a small hole in the top just big enough for a wipe to easily pass through
(if the hole is too big the wipes will dry out faster.)
