Mane Highlights for Friday November 8, 2013

Hear Me Roar!: The exciting news of the week is that I have published over 100 posts on the blog thus far!  It's hard to believe that I have published that much and I thank you all for reading and giving feedback.

If you've had the jarring experience of checking into the origins of some of your favorite childhood fairy tales, you may not be able to easily watch the Disney version without a bit of a jaded perspective.  I reflected on some of these and The Little Mermaid in particular because of the strange depth that the tale goes into.

I leave you with this until next week: The Three Little Pigs
A fairy tale I do truly love based on the ingenuity of the characters is 'The Three Little Pigs!"  The pigs learn the hard way that they cannot cut corners when it comes to building their houses.  The pig who thought, planned, spent more time and used better products to build his house was safe from the big bad wolf and his hard work and investment lasted in the end.
